Zelda M. (Stang) Parks, 94, of Louisville, OH, formerly of New Sewickley Twp., passed away Thursday, November 5, 2015, in St. Joseph Senior Care Center, Louisville, OH. Born May 11, 1921, in New Sewickley Twp., a daughter of the late Charles Adam and Ada Henry Stang, she was a housewife and homemaker. She was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, New Sewickley Twp. She was a member of Big Knob Grange and a former treasurer of the Women's Group of the former House of Mercy Lutheran Church. She was a member of Beaver Lawrence County Farm Bureau. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Theodore Wahl "Ted" Parks, in 1999; a daughter, Beverly Kohler, in 2013; a son, James T. Parks, in 2013; a grandson, Todd Young; a granddaughter, Lu Ann Kohler Shonk; four sisters, Hazel Seyboth, Verdella Majors, Pearl Mengel and Gladys Barto, and two brothers, Charles and Clarence Stang. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Betty Jo and Homer Young, Canton, OH; four grandsons, Steven Young and his wife Kris, and Martin Young and his wife Carie, all of Canton, OH; Brian Young and his wife Shelly, and Shawn Kohler and his wife Nikki, all of New Sewickley Twp.; two granddaughters, Jo Linda and her husband Alex Posluszny, Maryland, and Jennifer Sue Parks, Springdale, PA; four great-grandsons, Raymond Posluszny, Darrick Kohler, and Parker and Kyle Young; six great-granddaughters, Cassi Kohler, Ashlynn Young, Shylis Parks, and Emme, Kayte and Kadence Young, and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. in the WILLIAM MURPHY FUNERAL HOME INC., 349 Adams St., Rochester, and Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. in the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 60 Rochester Road, New Sewickley Twp., Rochester, PA. Rev. Roger Nuerge, chaplain of Concordia Lutheran Ministries, will officiate. Interment will be in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park. The family wishes memorial contributions be made, if desired, to Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 60 Rochester Road, Rochester, PA 15074.
