Viola A. Martin, 98, a life long resident of Freedom, passed away September 3, 2021 at Beaver Meadows. Born September 9, 1922 in Freedom, she was the daughter of the late Emanual and Anna Morelli Martin. She was a retired employee of the Westinghouse Corporation, Vanport, and a member of St. Felix Roman Catholic Church, Our Lady of the Valley Parish, Freedom. She loved her family, which she was very involved in being helpful to her twenty two nieces and nephews, and she was a caregiver to her parents and sister for many years. She is survived by one brother and sister in law, William H. and Dorothy P. Martin, Conway; one sister, Jean Kisic, Patterson Twp., numerous great nieces, great nephews and great-great nieces and great-great nephews. Her twenty two nieces and nephews are Alvin (Karin) Martin, Nancy Bennett, Janet Washburn, John (Karen) Barr, Tom (Deb) Barr, Chuck (Karen) Kisic , Bob (Lynn) Kisic, Jim (Julie) Kisic, Ed (Mary) Kisic, Susan (Brian) Robinson, Rose (Rick) Krepps, Joe (Barb) Martin, Toni (Dave) Lloyd, Teresa (Mark) Vogler, Marian (Dave) Anderson, Lori Steffin, LuAnne Mortin-Joines, Donna (Fred) Perry, Laura (Tru) McGortey, Jill (David) Bittner, Diane Burns, and Paula (Tim) Figura, as well as numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Alvin and Alfred Martin; five sisters, Lillian Doughty, Madeline Barr, and Edith Martin, Ann Young, and Isabel Morton. Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial, Saturday, September 11, 2021 at 11 AM in St. Felix Roman Catholic Church Freedom. A private interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Freedom. The family wishes contributions be made to Beaver County Cancer Association, Beaver Valley Professional Building, 3582 Brodhead Road Suite 201, Monaca, PA 15061 or the Beaver County Humane Society, 3394 Brodhead Road, Aliquippa, PA 15001. The family wants to thank the Beaver Meadows Family for the care and comfort given to our sister.
