    Theodore “Ted” Coppola, 64, of Rochester Twp., passed away February 20, 2021 at Heritage Valley, Beaver due to complications of COVID. A life – long resident of Rochester Twp., he was the son of the late Joseph J. and Joan Scriva Coppola. Ted graduated from Rochester High School in 1975, and also attended Duquesne University, Pittsburgh, majoring in music. He was a former member of St. Cecilia R.C. Church, Rochester Twp., and presently a member of St. Titus R.C. Church, Aliquippa. Along with his family and friends, Italian – American Heritage and his Catholic faith, music played an important role in his life. Ted was a talented musician, and was the organist at the St. Titus Church, and was active with St. Titus activities, as well as a member of the Charismatic Prayer Group. He had previously served as the choir director at St. Cecilia Church, Rochester. Ted was affectionately known as “The Godfather of Karaoke.” Ted was a beloved member of and DJ at the Monaca Sons of Italy, a member of the Pratte Pack, an avid Pittsburgh Pirates Fan and enjoyed cooking and baking and would always have something delicious to share with his family and friends. Ted is survived by a sister and brother in law, Theresa and James Jenkins of Freedom; and a brother and sister in law, Rocky and Dawn Coppola of Loveland, Ohio. Also surviving are three nieces, Jennie Couch and her husband, Pete, Rachel Wagner and her husband, Dave, and Christen Jenkins and her companion, Jesse, all of Freedom; two nephews, Quintin Coppola, Indianapolis, Indiana, and Joseph Coppola, Cincinnati, Ohio; five great nieces and great nephews, Haylie, Jimmie, Landon, Ashlynn, and Bryce, and numerous friends. Due to Covid 19 restrictions, there will be no viewing. Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial that will be held Friday at 10 am in St. Titus R.C. Church, 952 Franklin Avenue, Aliquippa. All attending must social distance and wear a mask. Entombment will follow in Sylvania Hills Mausoleum. Arrangements are being handled by the WILLIAM MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, INC. 349 Adams Street, Rochester. The family wishes contributions be made to the St. Titus Church, 952 Franklin Avenue Aliquippa, PA 15001, or to the Monaca SOI, 1115 Pacific Avenue, Monaca, PA 15061.
