A loving husband, father, brother and friend, Teddy Coe, 82, of Rochester Township, passed away peacefully August 21, 2016, at the Good Samaritan Hospice, Heritage Valley Beaver, following a short battle with cancer. Born June 21, 1934, in New Brighton, a son of the late Theodore and Effie (Frame) Coe, he was a member of St. Cecilia Roman Catholic Parish, Rochester. Teddy was a graduate of Rochester High School and a U.S. Army veteran serving in the Korean War. He was retired and had worked for 30 years for LTV Steel, Aliquippa. Teddy loved sports, especially baseball, and devoted countless hours of his life coaching youth baseball in Rochester. He was a lover of music, especially ballads. One of his favorite pastimes was going to the racetrack. He adored his grandchildren and especially loved watching his only grandson play baseball. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving sister, Maxine (Coe) Gaudio, and his brothers-in-law, David Forrester and John Manna. Teddy is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Janyce C. (Genevie) Coe; a son and daughter-in-law, Bruce and Terri (Levato) Coe, and two daughters and a son-in-law, Susan Coe, and Melissa and Michael Watkins; five grandchildren, Natalie, Maya, Nathan, Michaela and Melina; his siblings, Jean Squair, Wilda (Coe) Manna, Camille and Margaret (Coe) Crognale, Charlie and Joan Coe, George and Sue (Coe) Haddad, Daryl and Harriett Coe, David Coe, and Ron and Linda (Coe) Tooch; a brother-in-law and two sisters-in-law, Dave and Emogene (Genevie) Buckenheimer, and Betty Lee (Genevie) Forrester, and many nieces and nephews, who he loved and adored. Friends will be received Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. in the WILLIAM MURPHY FUNERAL HOME INC., 349 Adams St., Rochester. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. in St. Cecilia Roman Catholic Church, Rochester Twp., where everyone is asked to meet. A Christian wake service will be held Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. in the funeral home. The family wishes memorial contributions be made to the Rochester Library, 252 Adams St., Rochester, PA 15074, or to St. Jude Children's Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 42, Memphis, TN 38148. The Beaver County Special Unit will provide full military honors Thursday at 11 a.m. at St. Cecilia Roman Catholic Church, 628 Virginia Ave., Rochester.
