Robert V. Muron, 81, of New Sewickley Twp., passed away Monday, March 19, 2018, at his home. Born November 2, 1936, in Ambridge, a son of late Frank Sr. and Mary Oshop Muron, he was a retired employee with Robert Morris College, Conrail and the Butler Auto Auction. He was a member of St. Felix Roman Catholic Parish, Freedom, and a peacetime U.S. Army veteran. He was a member of the Freedom Mat Club; lifetime member of the Freedom Little Bulldogs; the Freedom Quarter Back Club - Boosters; Freedom SOI; a retired Pine Run Volunteer Fireman, and was known as the “Candy Man” at the Little Bulldog practice fields. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Pauline S. Guminski Ward Muron; a daughter and son-in-law, Michele M. (Muron) and Donald Hall, Imperial; two sons and daughters-in-law, John A. and Lisa Muron, New Sewickley Twp., and Robbie M. and Tammy Muron, Freedom; seven grandchildren, John Muron, Rachel Young and her husband Eric Sr., Donnie Hall and his fiancée Alex, Nathan Hall, Marqués, Michaela and Michael, and four great-grandchildren, Eric Jr., Brenton, Matthew and Paisley. He was preceded in death by a brother, Frank Muron Jr. Friends will be received Thursday from 2 to 8 p.m. in the WILLIAM MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, INC., 349 Adams St., Rochester. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Friday at 10 a.m. in St. Felix Roman Catholic Church, Freedom. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. The Beaver County Special Unit will provide full military honors Friday at 11 a.m. at Calvary Cemetery.
