Robert "Butch" A. Budacki Sr Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

On April 21, 1945 the late Mary (Piccinini) and William Budacki named their second son Robert Alan Budacki, Sr. but for those that truly knew him - it was “BUTCH”. Butch endured a courageous fight with Pancreatic Cancer but eventually passed away peacefully in the early morning of December 16, 2021 in Houston, Texas. Butch met his soulmate at the end of Junior High at the old Rochester Pool and eventually married the Monaca girl - Theresa (Kraft) Budacki on September 18, 1965. Although Rochester was always his home, Butch actually graduated from New Brighton High School with the Class of 1963 after transferring in 8th Grade. Butch proudly served our country in the Army from 1965 to 1967 at Ft. Bliss - El Paso, Texas. After serving, Butch and Terri thankfully started their journey back to his beloved Rochester, Pennsylvania where they would live and raise their family. Butch and Terri became parents and welcomed their favorite daughter on June 25, 1970 and the rest was history! Jennifer (Budacki) Lynn Long and her husband, Larry Arlen Long, Jr. gave the Budacki’s their first grandchild, Jet Arlen Long - all of Houston, Texas. Jen, Larry, Jet plus “Layla” welcomed “Nana” and “PapPap” to their home in Houston when Butch’s Cancer became too much to tackle alone. The sacrifices, care and love that Jennifer’s family and friends provided were the primary reason that Dad was able to extend his battle against this horrible disease and allowed him to maintain his dignity, peace and allowed our amazing Mom to support and love Dad to the very end. If Jennifer’s little brother was born first - the couple may have had a few more kids, but Robert Alan Budacki, Jr. completed the family of four and also made Butch a “Senior” by sharing his name with their favorite son! Bob and his wife, Kendra (Daman) have provided the Budacki name to carry on with Robert (Bobby) Alan Budacki, III; Brock Daman Budacki and the favorite granddaughter Isabelle “Tink” Katherese Budacki - all of New Brighton, Pennsylvania. Nana and PapPap also love their Northern grand-dogs Maddie & Jersey! Even in his last days he continuously and proudly referred to Rochester as his home, recalling his boyhood memories of growing up in Rochester with his “big brother” Billy, cousin Bobby Piccinini and life-long best friends Leo Wolfe, Alan Fritz, Charlie Frank and Andy “Junior” Mine. In his “adult” Rochester days he added good friends Tom “Eddie” Zajac, Jimmy Wilds, Emmet Barr and Rich Daman. Over his last fighting days, Butch often reflected on the bonds made with these men that all originated in his beloved Rochester, PA 15074. A bold and life-changing decision was made by Terri and Butch when they packed up and moved to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Eventually they made their way to beautiful Boca Raton where they lived, worked and flourished at Boca Pointe. Butch became the “Mayor” of Boca Pointe and the loving, hard-working couple added numerous new friends and family members. In particular Mr. and Mrs. Everette and Diane Phillips became our extended family. These two will forever be remembered for their kindness, generosity, love and friendship. The professionals at Baylor University St. Luke’s Hospital Liver/Pancreatic Cancer Specialists, Urology followed by those of Hospice Plus of Houston were all instrumental in Butch’s battle to the every end. Special thanks to “Shan” of Dr. Smith’s Urology who was a Nurse but was more of an ANGEL! Butch is survived by his siblings - brother William F. Budacki and his partner Carol Howe; sisters Maryann (Budacki) Sprecker and her husband Rick; Diana (Budacki) Sciarro and her husband, Jim a.k.a. “Dino” as in Dynomite! Butch was loved by his nieces and nephews - Stephanie, Betsy, Heather, Shawn, Matt and Gina - all of which have fond memories of “Uncle Butch”. Butch’s wishes were to be cremated, however, friends are invited to gather with the family Friday, January 28, 2022 from 2-4pm & 6-8pm in the WILLIAM MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, INC. 349 Adams Street, Rochester, where a Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday at 10am. Officiating will be Fr. Mike Greb. Full Military Honors will be provided by Vietnam Veterans of America, Beaver County Chapter Unit.
