Lois Ann Couch

Lois Ann Couch, 81, of Patterson Twp., passed away Friday, May 11, 2018, in Rochester Manor, surrounded by her loving family. Born February 16, 1937, in Monaca, a daughter of the late Louis and Naomi Ruth Harrison, she was a retired medical technologist with the Ellwood City Hospital and the American Red Cross. She was a member of the Chippewa United Methodist Church, where she was a former member of the Mission Committee. She was a graduate of Rochester High School and received her B.S. degree from the University of Pittsburgh in Phlebotomy. She was former member of AAUW and the Beaver Falls BPOE Lodge 348. An avid water color artist, she was a student of Betty Swager. Surviving are a daughter, Catherine Lee Couch, Patterson Twp.; a son and daughter-in-law, Russell H. Couch and Shelby Black-Couch, Patterson Twp.; a sister and brother-in-law, Eileen K. and Thomas K. Reed, Beaver; a niece, Lindsay Gleichauf and her husband Kevin; a nephew, Scott Reed and his wife Denise; two great nephews, Brayden and Mason Vallow; her beloved friend and companion, John Hannum, West Mayfield; her beloved canine companion, Samantha; her “football crowd,” Hamilton family, Joe and Barb, Fullen family, Arlene, and the Davies family, Bruce and Nancy, and numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Marilee Couch. Friends will be received Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the WILLIAM MURPHY FUNERAL HOME INC., 349 Adams St., Rochester. A service will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the Chippewa United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Daniel Stinson officiating. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery, Monaca.
