August 19, 1946 - April 2, 2021
Linda K. Belic, 74, of Rochester, passed away April 2, 2021 at home. Born August 19, 1946 in Rochester, she was daughter of the late George and Rita Mae Thompson Berkihiser. She was a retired Administrative Assistant to the Judges of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, a member of Rochester BPOE #283, Rochester, a member of the Rochester VFW Post #128, and she was Catholic by faith. Linda’s legacy, influence and impact on her family and those close to her will not be forgotten anytime soon, to know her was to love her. At times, her journey placed obstacles in her path that would have derailed even the strongest of us, but those obstacles met their match in Linda Belic. Her strength, resolve and commitment to her family gave her the power to plow through everything that got in her way, she was a BEAST. She rarely let those close to her know how badly she was bruised and hurting; no nonsense, no complaints, excuses or feeling sorry for herself, she just got the job done. If you were in her inner circle, you knew it, you always came first. She was immeasurably selfless and compassionate but would give you a kick squarely in the ass when you needed it. She was ferociously protective, and for those outside the circle who tried to cause harm to those on the inside, one word, DON’T. Right Barb!! Her kids and grandkids will be forever grateful to her for everything she brought to their lives. They are truly blessed and what they will take from the relationship will serve them well in every aspect of their lives. Linda may not have realized it but she was one of the greatest leaders many of us will ever know; never wanting the spotlight, she let her actions, her drive, the results of her creativity and her impact on others do all the talking. Her talents were exceptional. Heartbroken is not a strong enough word to describe how we are feeling right now, we will miss her tremendously, but we have found comfort in knowing that she is at peace. The lights have dimmed and the needle is about to drop, she has her dancing shoes on and is no doubt ready to tear it up on that big dancefloor in the sky!! Fare thee well Linda B enjoy the next steps of your journey; we all are better people for being a part of your life. She is survived by two sons and a daughter in law, J.J. Belic, Rochester, Michael J. Belic and his wife, Dina, and a former daughter in law, Michele Belic all of Richmond, Virginia; three grandchildren, Michael Belic, and his wife, Jaynie, and Autumn Belic, all of Richmond, Virginia, and Kadie Belic, Rochester; one brother and sister in law, Rick and Pam Berkihiser, Baden, four nieces, Lori, Traci, Shelli, and Brooke; and one nephew, Brett. She was preceded in death by one brother, George Berkihiser. Linda’s wishes were to be cremated, and a celebration of life service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are being handled by the WILLIAM MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, INC. 349 Adams Street, Rochester. Memorial Contributions can be made to the Women’s Center, 190 3rd Street, Beaver, PA 15009.
