Joseph J. Sabino Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Joseph J. Sabino, 91, of East Rochester, passed away January 6, 2022 at Rochester Manor. Born August 21, 1930 in Girard, Ohio, he was the son of the late John and Eva Petrucci Sabino. He was a retired Batch Operator with the Valspar Corporation, Rochester, a member of St. Cecilia Roman Catholic Church, Our Lady of the Valley Parish, Rochester, an Army Veteran of the Korean War, a member of the Conway Croatian Club, the Rochester Turners and the Conway VFW. Joseph was also an avid bowler. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Ruth Ann Shanholtz Sabino. He is also survived by one daughter and son in law, Joey K. and William Phillips, Monessen, PA; one son and daughter in law, John W. and Michelle Sabino, Wampum, PA; five grandchildren, Caitlyn and Sydney Phillips, John Sabino, Joseph and Nicholas Horinka Sr.; one great grandson, Nicholas Horinka Jr.; one sister, Julia Smelko, Conway, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Michael Sabino in 1991; one daughter, Teri; two sisters, Jenny Caratelli in 1990, and Mary R. Namett; two brothers, Anthony L. “Tony” Sabino, and a brother, Elmer Sabino in 1951. Friends will be received Monday, January 10, 2022 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm, in the WILLIAM MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, INC. 349 Adams Street, Rochester. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday at 11 am in the St. Cecilia R.C. Church, Rochester, Fr. Paul Kuppe to officiate. Interment will follow in St. Cecilia Cemetery. A Christian Wake Service will be held Monday at 3:30 PM in the Funeral Home. Memorial Contributions can be made to the Disabled American Veterans, 4219 Trindle Road, Camp Hill, PA 17011. The Beaver County Special Unit will provide full Military Honors at 12 noon at St. Cecilia Cemetery.
