    JoAnn Manzola

    December 7, 1946 - October 6, 2019

    JoAnn (Simpson) Manzola, 72, of Monaca, formerly of Rochester, passed away Sunday, October 6, 2019, in Heritage Valley Beaver. JoAnn was born December 7, 1946, in Rochester, Pa., a daughter of the late Kenneth A. and Izetta Mae (Dias) Simpson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Burns Manzola in 1974. JoAnn was a 1964 graduate of Rochester High School and was a retired marketing specialist with the Michael Baker Jr. Corporation. JoAnn is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Dawn (Manzola) Galbreath and Samuel (Rob) Galbreath, and two granddaughters, Lauren Taylor Galbreath and Haley Nicole Galbreath, all of Cape Coral, Fla.; a brother, Dr. David L. Simpson, Washington, D.C.; a sister, Karin L. and her husband Alvin Martin, New Brighton; four nephews, Jim Harley and his wife Christa, Texas; Michael C. Harley and his wife Jennifer, Chippewa; Bob Harley and Laci, Rochester; and John Harley and his wife Brienne, Economy; two nieces, Lori Baker and her husband Brad, Georgia and April D. Harley; several great-nieces and great-nephews, Samantha, Melanie, Zachary, Victoria, Ashley, Alexis, Bradley, Addison, Logan, Justyn, and Tyler; and great-great-niece, Elizabeth. In addition to her family, JoAnn had many wonderful friends whom she held dear to her. JoAnn's wishes were to be cremated. Friends are invited to visit with the family Tuesday, October 15, from 1 to 4 pm in WILLIAM MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, INC., 349 Adams St., Rochester, with service following. Officiating will be the Rev. Gregory S. Clagg of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Rochester. Inurnment will be in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park on Wednesday, October 16, at 1:30 p.m. The family wishes memorial contributions be made to the American Lung Association, 810 River Ave., Ste. 14, Pittsburgh, PA 15217.
