Janet G. Binkley, 90, of Industry, passed away Saturday, December 24, 2016, in her home. Born December 15, 1926, in Rochester, a daughter of the late Howard and Henrietta Schleiger Simpson, she was a retired employee with the Rochester Mental Health Clinic. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Rochester. She was a 1944 graduate of Rochester High School and a graduate of the Jameson Hospital School of Nursing, New Castle, where she received her bachelor of science degree and was a registered nurse. She was preceded in death by her husband, William A. Binkley, in 2009; one brother, Howard Simpson, Jr. and one sister and brother-in-law, Mary Lou and Bill Young. She is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law, Jeanette A. and Stephen Sovick, Mechanicsville, VA; Jenise L. Cox, Rochester, PA; Joanna and Timothy Musuta, Industry; two sons and daughters-in-law, John L. and Karen Binkley, Golden, CO; William H. and Patricia Binkley, West Chester, PA; 13 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Susan Rhodes, Freedom and Karen and Al Tooch, Rochester; numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Thursday from 3 to 7 p.m. in the WILLIAM MURPHY FUNERAL HOME INC., 349 Adams St., Rochester, where services will be held on Friday at 10:30 a.m. Officiating will be her pastor, Rev. Phil Huggins. Interment will be in Beaver Cemetery. The family wishes memorial contributions be made to the First Baptist Church, 301 Adams Street, Rochester, PA 15074.
