Harold D. Erwin, 86, of Cranberry, Pa. in Ven-ango County, also residing in North Sewickley Twp., passed away Thursday, November 28, 2019, in The Grove of Harmony. Born March 29, 1933, in Van Pa. he was a son of the late Oran S. and Grace Stanley Erwin. He was a retired truck driver in Ellsworth, Iowa and was a former security guard for a nuclear missile site. He was Protestant by faith and was a peacetime U. S. Army Veteran, serving with the Second Infantry Division. He had attended Clarion University. He is survived by a sister, Delores Erwin of Cooperstown Pa.; two brothers, Glenn Erwin of Cranberry Pa. and Stanley Erwin of Oil City and close friends, Brenda and Bill Pinchiotti, Brighton Twp., Whitey Boehm from Spotlight 88 Flea Market and Kurt Koah of North Sewickley Twp. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Donald O. and Derwood Erwin. Friends will be received Tuesday, December 3, 2019, from 2 to 3 p.m. with a service at 3:30 p.m. in the WILLIAM MURPHY FUNERAL HOME INC., 349 Adams St., Rochester. Officiating will be Reverend Donald MacNeil. Interment will follow in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies. Beaver County Special Unit will provide Military Honors at the funeral home on Tuesday at 4 p.m. The family wishes memorial contributions be made to the Beaver County Humane Society, 3394 Brodhead Road, Aliquippa, PA 15001.
