Eleanor Laura Novak Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Eleanor Laura (Kasinski) Novak, 89, formerly of Freedom and Ambridge, passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2015, in Evergreen Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Harmony, PA. Born May 28, 1926, in Ambridge, a daughter of the late Caesar and Sophie Rydzewski Kasinski, she was a retired employee of the former Rochester Kmart. She was a member of St. Felix Roman Catholic Church, Freedom, where she was a Christian Mother. She was an avid bingo player and enjoyed her trips to Mountaineer Park. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Novak, in 1981, and two brothers, Theodore "Ted" and Alfred "Fritz" Kasinski. Surviving are a son, Walter Norman Novak, Zelienople; five daughters and sons-in-law, Jeanette and Joseph DeLuca, New Sewickley Twp.; Diana M. and Joseph Antoline, Economy Boro; Debra and Donald Fritsch, Daugherty Twp.; Nannette and Michael Martino, Las Vegas, NV, and Christine and Timothy Sandusky, Brighton Twp.; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Thomas and Mary Kasinski, Aliquippa, and Robert and Joan Kasinski, Economy Boro; a beloved special sister-in-law, Eugenia Novak, Zelienople, and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the WILLIAM MURPHY FUNERAL HOME INC., 349 Adams St., Rochester. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in St. Felix Roman Catholic Church, Freedom. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, New Brighton. The family wishes, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Evergreen Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, 191 Evergreen Mill Road, Harmony, PA 16037. The family would like to thank the staff at Evergreen for the exceptional care and comfort given to our mother.
