Edward D. Robinson Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Edward D. Robinson, 88, of New Sewickley Twp., passed away June 12, 2022 at the home of his daughter. Born October 17, 1933 in New Brighton, he was the son of the late Harold and Blanche Barto Robinson. He was a retired employee of Transamerica Trucking Co., where he had worked for 30 years, a retired employee of the former Beaver County Geriatric Center, where he worked in the Receiving Department, a former employee of the William Murphy Funeral Home, Inc., a member of the New Sewickley Presbyterian Church, where he was a former Sunday School Teacher and Superintendent, a former church choir member and Elder, worked with the church floral committee and past chairman, and was on the church kitchen committee, and cooked for various dinners. He was a charter member of the New Sewickley Twp. Kiwanis Club, a member of the Big Knob Grange, and worked on the committee to book dinners and various activities and received his seventh degree with the County State and National Grange. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Laura L. Graham Robinson. He is also survived by a daughter and son in law, Lori Sue “Susie” and Elder Vogel, New Sewickley Twp.; a son and daughter in law, Brian S. and Shari Robinson, Ellwood City; five grandchildren, Bret Watson, Seattle, Washington, Konnor Robinson, and his wife, Samie, Dearborn, Michigan, Captain Madison Kauffman, and her husband, Keane Velez, Tacoma, Washington, Austin Robinson, Ellwood City, and Lynnsey Kauffman, State College; two brothers, Kenneth Robinson, and his wife, Janene, Oregon, and Marlin “Robbie” Robinson, and his wife, Georgia, Rochester Twp.; two sisters, Shirley Robinson, Beaver, and Myra Sharps, Aliquippa, very close beloved nephews and nieces, Doug and Linda Martin, New Sewickley Twp., and Doug and Pam Miller, Lynchburg, Virginia, as well as numerous other nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one son, Gregory Robinson in 2015; two brothers, George and Richard Robinson; a sister and brother in law, Katherine and James Starr; three sisters in law, Jean, Cheryl, and Mary Ellen Robinson; three nephews, Terry Robinson, Sonny and Dennis Starr, and a niece Bonnie Rose. Friends will be received Wednesday June 15, 2022 from 2-4 PM & 6-8 PM in the WILLIAM MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, INC. 349 Adams Street, Rochester, and Thursday, 10 am until the time of service of service at 11 am, in the New Sewickley Presbyterian Church. Officiating will be Rev. Beth Wierman. Interment will be at Oak Grove Cemetery, Freedom.
