Dolores Allen Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Dolores Allen, 85, peacefully went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 in Villa St. Joseph. She was born July 30, 1936 in Cumberland, West Virginia and raised in Monaca, PA. Upon marriage to her late husband, Harold “Sonny” Allen, to whom she had been married 49 years, she resided in Rochester, PA and raised her children whom she loved beyond measure. She is survived by three daughters and sons in law, Jeannie and Danny Matsook, Susan and Ray Brahm, and Cindy and Lee Campbell; one son and daughter in law, Jimmy and Cathy Allen. After the passing of her husband, she lived and was cared for by her daughter and son in law, Cindy and Lee Campbell in Barboursville, West Virginia. They showed unconditional love and comfort for 14 years. She attended East Pea Ridge Baptist Church, had an extensive Betty Boop collection, loved her old westerns and game shows, painted ceramics and playing Bingo. She adored her 13 grandchildren, Ryan (Kelly), Justin (Maggie), Brandon (Christine), Danielle (Danny), Kurt, Kristen (Mike), Sara, Chad, Todd (Beth), Michelle, Matt, Maura (Steve Paoletti) and Ben (Amber) and her 23 great grandchildren. She also leaves behind her beloved siblings, John (Joan) Jones, Lenora Krebs, Diana Thomas and Vince Cipolla and numerous nieces, and nephews, and also good friend, Linda Zoppetti. She was preceded in death, in addition to her husband, Sonny by her parents, Leonard and Alma Jeffries Jones; a sister, Debbie Cippola; a sister in law and three brothers in law, Barbara and Alan Safreed, Richard Krebs and Gary Thomas. Her wishes were to be cremated and have a Private Family Memorial Service on Monday, May 16, 2022 at 11 am in the WILLIAM MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, INC. 349 Adams Street, Rochester. Officiating will be Rev. Donald MacNeil. Inurnment will follow in Beaver Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, donations to Boys Town charities (boystown.org) in her name will be appreciated, it was something dear to her heart. A special thank you to Villa St. Joseph for all their compassion and kindness, a special thank you to her many nurses, Jennifer and Pam and Nurse Practitioner, Arlene.
