On Sunday, September 2, 2018, Cleda E. (Lockett) Finnell-Cloughley, loving grandmother and mother of five children, passed away at the age of 88 peacefully at Cambridge Village in Beaver Falls, Pa. Cleda was born on October 10, 1929, in Pensacola, Fla., to James and Nannie Bessie Lockett. She was one of nine children and is survived by one brother, Braxton Lockett and his wife Pat, San Angelo, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Bessie and Margaret, and her five brothers, Ottis, Woodrow, Julius, Louis and William. On December 4, 1948, she married James Finnell. They raised three sons, James, Kenneth and Richard, and two daughters, Linda and Helen, in Rochester, Pa., until his passing on April 29, 1973. Cleda was a loving, feisty, strong woman, and a hard worker who was once employed at Westinghouse in Beaver, Pa., and Barnett’s Bootery, Rochester, Pa. On February 25, 1995, she married her second husband and best friend, Robert Cloughley, also of Rochester, who shared her love of traveling and dancing. They shared many wonderful adventures together until his passing on May 4, 2014. She was a member of the Rochester VFW Women’s Auxiliary and Elks Ladies Auxiliary. She is survived by her children, Linda (Mario) Belculfine of Rochester, Pa., James (Cindy) Finnell of Rochester, Pa., Kenneth (Marikay) Finnell of Harrisburg, Pa., Richard Finnell of Orlando, Fla. (who lost his beloved wife Camilia also on Sept 2, 2018), and Helen Annichiarico (fiancé James Baselj), Cranberry, Pa. Cleda will be deeply missed by her grandchildren, Bobbie Jo Signorelli, (Michael), Rochester, Pa., Felicia Harris, Las Vegas, Nev., Jennifer Belculfine-Hennessy, (Theodore), Stafford, Va., Christine Finnell- Koenig, (Michael), Cranberry, Pa., Matthew Belculfine, (Tiffany), Hopewell, Pa., Devin Finnell (Jennifer), Harrisburg, Pa., Megan Finnell, Harrisburg, Pa., Scott Annichiarico, Oskalusa, Iowa, and Kevin Annichiarico, Cranberry, Pa., as well as her nine great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends. The family wishes to thank the entire staff at Cambridge Village for their wonderful care of our mother as well as the staff at Kindred Hospice. Friends are invited to visit with the family Thursday, September 27, 2018, from 4 to 8 p.m. with a Memorial Service following at the WILLIAM MURPHY FUNERAL HOME INC., 349 Adams St., Rochester, PA 15074.
