    Angeline R. Alberti

    September 12, 1922 - July 22, 2017

    Angeline R. Alberti, 94, of Rochester Twp., passed away peacefully, on Saturday, July 22, 2017, in Providence Health Care, Beaver Falls. Born September 12, 1922, in Rochester, she was a daughter of the late Valentino and Alesandra Paparella Spada. Angeline retired as an employment interviewer with the Pennsylvania Dept. of Labor and Industry, Office of Employment Security after 35 years of distinguished service. She began her career with the Dept. of Labor and Industry as a test administrator for Aptitude with Westinghouse Corp., Crucible Steel, Pittsburgh Screw and Bolt Co., J&L Steel, Aliquippa, and Laidlaw Wire and Steel Co. She was involved in re-training in support of the Government Trade Re-Adjustment Act, and completed her career in the office of Unemployment Compensation at the locations of Monaca, New Castle, Ambridge, Beaver Falls and Rochester. She was dedicated to her family and career and was very proud of being the daughter of immigrant parents, who came through Ellis Island from Italy to start a new life in 1917. She was a member of St. Cecilia Roman Catholic Parish and was a member of the former St. Pudentiana Roman Catholic Church, North Rochester. She was a Rochester High School graduate and a 1940 graduate of Garfield Business School. She had previously been employed by the former Frye Glass Co., North Rochester, the Keystone Driller Co., Beaver Falls, and Crucible Steel Co., Midland. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry C. Alberti Jr., in 2002; a brother and sister-in-law, Louis and Lena Spada and two sisters and brothers-in-law, Anne and Frank Pasquale, and Eleanor and Ben Thomas. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Henry S. "Hank" and Anita Alberti, Brighton Twp.; one sister, Ardamia "Jean" Clerici, Ashville, N.C., and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Tuesday from 3 to 7 p.m. in the WILLIAM MURPHY FUNERAL HOME INC., 349 Adams St., Rochester. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. in St. Cecilia Roman Catholic Church, Rochester Twp. Entombment will be in St. Cecilia Mausoleum. A Christian wake service will be held Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. in the funeral home. The family wishes memorial contributions be made to the Beaver County Humane Society, 3394 Brodhead Road, Aliquippa, PA. 15001. The family wishes to thank the staff of Providence Health Care Center, Beaver Falls, for the care and comfort given by Grane Hospice Care.
